Why do I do a consultation, evaluation, and temperament test with new clients?
People probably wonder why I start off with a consultation. Here is the short list of reasons why:
- It gives both the client and I a chance to meet and see if we are a good fit for each other.
- It allows me as the trainer to gather crucial information about your unique situation, your dog, your training goals, and the specific issues you are having with your dog. This helps me recommend appropriate training options for you and your dog! Every dog/owner client is unique and training is not one size fits all.
- I often get calls from clients seeking help for their reactive dogs. These dogs are not a good fit for regular semi-private obedience classes. They need help with reactivity first. Having a consultation first allows me to identify the clients that are reactive and get them the help that they need to be successful!
